PAUTH
Application name: PAUTH
What is PAUTH?
PAUTH is an internal identity and access management application operated for our organization. It lets authorized members prove who they are and then access internal tools through single sign-on (SSO).
Purpose of the application
The purpose of PAUTH is to authenticate members of our organization and provide them with secure single sign-on (SSO) to internal applications. PAUTH is the identity provider for our organization's tools. It is not a public social app, marketplace, or advertising product.
PAUTH functionality and features
- Sign in with a WebAuthn Passkey (passwordless authentication)
- Optional sign-in / account linking with Google OAuth 2.0
- Optional sign-in / account linking with Microsoft OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect (OIDC) identity provider for internal web applications
- Administrator tools to manage users, credentials, and OAuth clients
Purpose for which PAUTH requests Google user data
PAUTH requests Google user data only when a user explicitly chooses to sign in with Google or to link a Google account. In that case, PAUTH receives:
- the Google account identifier (
sub) - the user's verified email address
This information is used only to authenticate the user and to associate their Google identity with their PAUTH account so they can access organization applications via SSO. PAUTH does not sell Google user data, does not use it for advertising or marketing, and does not share it with unrelated third parties.
Who can use PAUTH
PAUTH is an internal application for members of our organization. It is not a public consumer product and does not offer open self-registration to the general public.
